Following an earlier discussion on @HemisphericViews, I thought that @burk would appreciate this.
(CBD + Mac’s ‘Feld Feet’)
This time on Really Specific Stories, I’m joined by @ismh, who delves into the history of Relay FM and explains his shift to podcasting and running a business—all the while balancing the needs of advertisers, co-hosts, members and of course, family.
In the latest episode of Really Specific Stories, I’m joined by @liss, who kindly shares the story of his tech fandom and his experiences as an independent developer and podcaster. 😀
Fun with chalk at the uni!
Hanging out with lorikeets, cockatoos, ducks and turkeys at the University of Wollongong

I learnt today that when you are on a high following an afternoon coffee and a passionfruit-mango iced tea, you make impulsive purchases for yourself. 😂
Arlill shares how they discovered podcasts (through an interest in gaming) and how they came to produce Random Chatterings, covering ‘all aspects of pop culture including video games, movies, television shows, and the internet at large’.
I just watched The Menu with @NTKF and strongly recommend it! Witty, creative, amusing and disturbing!
A lovely afternoon spent with @NTKF checking out the Wonderwalls 2022 street art festival in Port Kembla ❤️
I can confirm that @NTKF is a smart cookie. She suggested that we bring our old records back to life with a new Audio Technica turntable, then download @rogueamoeba’s app Airfoil to send the audio across the house to the HomePod stereo pair. Analogue made digital—sounds great!
I continue to be impressed by Moment lenses… currently experimenting with this macro one on my iPhone 13 mini. Good fun!
Listeners of @HemisphericViews know that I love to think about music and use old iPods. Since getting the 6th gen. iPad mini, I have to say that it’s my favourite device for browsing my music collection—streaming to HomePods and displaying lyrics, it’s a little armrest jukebox.
It’s time for more Really Specific Stories! I’m joined by @macgreg, who covers his long history as a podcast sponsor and explains how his recent podcast listening has been influenced by portable devices. Listen now. 🎧 🔊
I’ve only spent a bit of time with the Playdate this evening, but it is a very charming device. Worth the wait!
Mac thoroughly enjoyed today’s show by The Beanies at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre—his first-ever concert with me and @NTKF! Awesome performers and a wonderful venue! 🎵 🎭
The Whitlams close with Royal in the Afternoon and (You’re Making Me Feel Like) I’m 50 Again at Anita’s Theatre in Thirroul.
Footpath training ❤️
It’s time to hear from @lmika on Really Specific Stories! 🎙 In this episode, Leon outlines how he became an Apple user and a podcast listener, while explaining his musical experience and his microblogging motivation. Listen today. 🎧 🔊
In his element!
Now that’s a smart speaker.
Yesterday was Mac’s first visit to an Apple Store! He loved the Today at Apple area; at the time it was essentially a deserted playground of crates and balls for him to crawl through and push around. 😂
Thanks to @NTKF for taking the photo and for a lovely Fathers’ Day.
This time on Really Specific Stories, I’m joined by @danielpunkass! Daniel narrates his experience as co-producer of the Core Intuition podcast, asserts the importance of feeds online and considers his own exhibition of personas across the Web. Listen now. 🔊 🎧
It’s great that our neighbour puts so much effort into the garden alongside our shared driveway, so that I can just take photos of the flowers.
