I’ve now been in my current job for a year. That’s hardly a huge milestone, however I’m grateful to have a job that’s closer to home. Not having to commute almost four hours in total each day has given me so much more time to enjoy with my family.

The air-conditioning at work is down for the second day in a row, whilst they perform maintenance and check for faults. I have now discovered a new state of matter: something between gas and a liquid. I call it âgiquidâ and it is clinging to me as I sit here typing.

Natasha and I stopped at Coffika at Ikea for a fika (Swedish for âbreakâ) and my goodness, the coffee was good. The Swedes know what theyâre doing. Here are two IKEA-endorsed people enjoying a traditional fika, hopefully with exactly seven biscuits, as prescribed.

So much for airport security! Whilst on free Wi-Fi at Brisbane Airport today, I noticed that I could stream to different Apple TVs from my iPad. I was tempted to share my podcast with others!
